Automatic download of daily weather??

AutoGen_4955214 Advanced Member Joined: 5/27/2020 Last visit: 9/1/2025 Posts: 55 Rating: (2)	Hello, I would like to have the daily weather displayed on my HMI, a Unified Comfort 15''. This is for installation of a ship that travels globally. The GPS coordinates are available in the PLC. The time zone will need to be adapted, this could be manual or automatic. What I am not too sure about is accessing an API such as OpenWeatherMap to get the weather data. Can the Unified HMIs do this? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to implement this in the panel? I have done something similar on Node-Red, assuming this will be somewhat the same, but making use of the "Scheduled Tasks" to get the weather for the following day at midnight...or something like that. itafusna Silver Expert Joined: 2/17/2020 Last visit: 8/29/2025 Posts: 1251 Rating: (237)	Hi, Access to external resources from the Internet with the features HttpRequestMessage / XMLHttpRequest / fetch is in WinCC Unified blocked for security reasons, therefore, I believe such commands will not work natively in WinCC Unified. As a workaround, such requests can be outsourced to a Custom Web Control (CWC). Integrating user-defined controls into WinCC Unified (Custom Web Controls)
