Hi Team,

In one of my project I Have existing setup of PLC CPU 319 4PNDP  and 10 HMI of TP177 A and TP177/B  communicating on profibus DP. customer want to change only  CPU 319 4PNDP with CPU 1518 4PNDP. can my existing TP177 A/B manage to communicate with new CPU 1518 without adding any extra hardware ?

CPU 319 - configured in simatic manager 

TP177 A/B - Configured in Wincc flex 2008 sp3

CPU 1518 - will be configured using TIA 18 software. Please let me know I am clear with my requirement or do you need more input from my side.

theoretically it should work.

on S71500 side you have to activate the PUT Get Communication setting in the Security settings and you have to use an access level without password for the HMI access. Also you cannot use optimized DBs for the HMI communication. also disable Secure HMI communication

I have managed in the past to communicate with WinCC flexible programmed Multianels with S71200/1500 but with Profinet.

In case of Profibus also the bus parameter could be an issue. Use also SlotID 1 for the HMI conection and S7-300/400 Channel

So I would say theoretically yes, but I cannot guarantee and you would have to test this.
