Hi! I was so happy when "SetLocalUser" Functionality was added in WinCC Unified V19 Upd2, I've tested it on Update 2 premiere and it was working marvellously ( I used it to login with a barcode scanner - feature requested by a client [barcode strings was already used in another system in form "*username*"])

Everything (more or less) is still working but... only on local machine (machine when RT.

When I connect to WinCC Runtime from a Web Client (Client set in "My WinCC" with issued certificate etc.) and try to login via SetLocalUser Function it login an user ON LOCAL MACHINE instead of on Client bowser.

Also i Want to add that normal login ( Login + password) working as expected.

I know that this function is named "SetLOCALUser" but this behaviour does'nt seems right.

Awww that's a bummer. Have you any suggestion how I can login to a WinCC with a barcode, or better question will be:

Thanks for your reply! Indeed this can reduce security, by in my case I only need an information which user is logged in without granting any more permissions. I was planning to do it in PLC and store Usernames in DB, but then i got finite number of users. This way Client can add new users in User Management, as much as they want.

It would also be possible to change the user using the 'ChangeUser' system function. However, since this function requires a password to be specified, this would reduce security since you would have to store the password somewhere.

Hello! I changed my "Barcode Scanner Login" script to use the "ChangeUser" system function. On the server side, once again, everything works perfectly, but on the client side it doesn't work.

In Trace Viewer I get the error:

HmiGfx:: CwinCCUnifiedLoggingTagLicense:: GetLicenseInformation - called for license ID UNILGM1900, countedTags = 4, grantedTags = 0

I didn't transfer a client license yet; is that an issue?
