Minimum Hz recommendation of PTO rate

AutoGen_6894663 Joined: 6/10/2024 Last visit: 6/25/2025 Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	I have a spare PLC (CPU 1214C DC/DC/DC) and want to generate pulse train output with lower frequency that is less than 1Hz. However, I saw there is a term '2Hz min' with Pulse Train Output rate in technical specification. I understand that it is hard to generate higher frequency, but this case ask lower frequency PTO. Is it impossible to generate lower frequency PTO with CPU 1214 DC/DC/DC If then, kindly let me know any alternative.

See the following free library and look for the pulse generator function. Library of general functions (LGF) for SIMATIC STEP 7 (TIA Portal) and SIMATIC S7-1200 / S7-1500 There is also the possibility to activate in the hardware configuration the clock pulse functionality. That is useful for flashing lamps.
