Simulating the S7-1200 G2 -- which licensing?

qwazee Platinum Expert Joined: 3/30/2020 Last visit: 9/4/2025 Posts: 5425 Rating: (1064)	Step7 V20.0.0.3 PLCSIM V20.0.0.1 Could someone point me to documentation that states which licensing is required to simulate the S7-1200 G2. I am testing a new installation of Step7 V20 with a Basic license. The simulation of the S7-1200 works without much issue. The interface is something to get used to. Simulating the S7-1200 G2 is a problem. Attempting to simulate the S7-1200 G2 brings up two dialogs. #1 says a Step7 Professional license is needed. #2 says a PLCSIM Advanced is needed. (I add images as soon as I change to the Classic Forum.) Attachment Attempt simulating G2.zip (198 Downloads)

Please tell me.. 1) Did you simulate the S7-1200 G2? 2) Which licenses do you have? I have PLCSIM V20 with update 1 installed. I am able to simulate the S7-1200 (G1) without problems.

I value your interacting with my topic. One last question, please.. Do you have a PLCSIM Advanced license also? Please check ALM to make sure that a trial license did not "sneak" onto your system.
