bereket_toprak Joined: 6/23/2024 Last visit: 8/20/2025 Posts: 5 Rating: (1)	Hi Guys. I have a 6ES7 214-1AH50-0XB0 V1.0 s7 1214 G2 CPU. I have a 6ES7 241-1CA50-0XB0 V1.0 CB 1241 (RS485) communication card plugged on it, but when I install the hardware I get the error "Hardware component not available due to type mismatch" and the PLC does not run. Focus your research on that question. Consider creating a Support Request, since they have access to resources that our forum volunteers do not have.

Observe if there are any (firmware) version number selectable. There are at least two other people that has complained about the use of an analog board. I see you have one analog card too – but have no problem with it. As an experiment try the following: 1) Remove the RS485 board from slot 2. Adjust hardware configuration. Stable running? 2) Replace the analog with the RS485. Adjust hardware configuration. Stable running? 3) If (2) is okay: RS484 on slot 1. Analog on slot 2. Adjust hardware configuration. Stable running?

However, the PLC and card versions are only 1.0 on the TIA portal. There are no other versions you can choose. What I don't understand is that the HSP files were recently released, but only version 1.0 is available. I wonder if the card has a 1.1 or later version, but the HSP file for that hasn't been released.

Your statement: “I tried everything you wrote, but it didn't work.” is not diagnostically helpful. When you speak with the Siemens support team, consider noting which of the 3 tests you have done and what your results were for each. Be specific and detailed as they are blind to our exchange of ideas. PLEASE let me know if you get an helpful response or worked out a solution yourself.

The configuration you have in Step7 / TIA Portal is good. The firmware loaded in the CPU is the problem (per @Towome). Find the firmware you need to load from here: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/109983197/f (Do check that I have chosen the correct part number) From the link there is the description: For Step7 there is no difference between V1.0 or V1.0.1 -- even if it is critical to the the hardware. Do these notes push the topic forward?
