I know my thinking is so 20 years ago (or more)..

But, even after reviewing this new tool, I still prefer hardware safety relays external to PLCs in nearly application I deal with.

In a former life (employer), I found many reasons to want PLC-integrated safety but was forced to use hardware (wiring only) based safety relays.

I find PLC's less expensive, licensing less expensive, programming simpler, and a great deal many other nuances that are simpler - like not losing the safety programming by performing an upload (maybe that will be a thing of the past with V21...) of the project.

That said, this tool looks like a great tool for those who think software safety is easier / better to work with.
