CPU 414 -3PN/DP and IM151-3PN communication error

Berg Gold Member Joined: 1/17/2006 Last visit: 12/28/2025 Posts: 555 Rating: (29)	Hello, I have the following PROFINET I/O network configuration: - one CPU414-3DP/PN 6ES7-414-3EM05-0AB0 -one IM151-3PN HF 6ES7-151-3BA20-0AB0 - one scalance X208 6GK5-208-0BA10-2AA3 - oneLaptop in Ethernet(to transfer/monitor the programand the configurations) I configurated in HW Config the IM151-3overEthernet Profinet I/O networkand compiled without any error, butI could not communicateboth components (the communication does not work - IM151-3 BFled flashes). I alsotried the "ping" command and the communicationdoes not work. I have already checked theprofinet cable, and it´s ok.Could be the MMC of IM151-3?? 1)Any suggestionto solve this problem? 2) What precautions should I take into account? 3) Need I configure something in Netpro? You could proceed to that for instance inHWConfi, menu PLC => edit erthernet node => assign name Hello, Edr, I got your suggestion and tested it today but without success. So, when Igo to edit ethernet node > browse, I can find in the list the ET200S IM151-3 with IP 0.0.0.0 andnone in Device name, but the MAC address is found.Then, when I try to assign an IP address and the device name, one message error appears saying that this MAC address could not be found. Andwhether I go again in edit ethernet node > browse, now I can´t find the ET200S IM151-3 in the list !!! Inone moment of the test I could assign the IP address and device name without errors (I don´t know why - it seems unstable), but when rebooting it the ip address is set back to 0.0.0.0 and the the ET200S keeps giving an BF and SF error, andin the STEP7 whenI look online it says that CPU can't connect to the ET200S. I checked the cable and it is ok. I also have one RF180C in the same network (with scalance X208)and I can assign the IP address and device name to it perfectly. I found another thread in forum with the same problem, but withou solving... /tf/WW/en/Posts/22266 Can anyone help me ? Best regards, Berg

Intially assign an I.P address for et200s node(Hardware config-plc-ethernet node-edit ethernet node) Search ethernet node and assign I.P address and assign device I.D. Then go the verify device name and assign device name(plc-ethernet node-verify device node) and then download I think everything should work fine. If not,then try with reset to factory settings. bye karn

I have tried your suggestions and tips, but I didn´t have success yet.I tried to changethe MMCof IM151-3PNwith another that is working inother IM151-8, but it didn´t work either. I don´t have another new MMC card neither Siemens prommer, so I can´t format it. I am posting here some application pictures (STEP7 printscreen)to illustrate the real situation. I followed the steps below: 1) Image1 -> ET200S was found with IP 0.0.0.0 and MAC address, pressed<OK>; 2) Image2 -> I filled the IP address and Subnet mask, pressed <Assign IP Configuation>. The error4502:686 is showed; 3) Image3 -> In the <Browse...>window I can´t find the ET200S in the list! Only if I restart (power off) the module I can find the ET200S (IM151-3PNHF), but I can´t assign IP address again. I have checked the cable again today, and it is ok. I really don´t know what to do. What i would suggest is first assign any partner under properties of cpu port2 for connection to port2.and assign in IO topology also so that port2 of cpu is connected to IM151-3PN of port1. And then assign the I.P and device name. I faced this problem sometime back then i changed to any partner it started working. bye. karn
