Yes informationfor IM184 is near to zero. Manual for this modul is only 16 pages.. More info in PROFIBUS DP Development-Kit # 4 Order No. 6ES7 195-3BA00-0YA0 . Look at PROFIBUS DP for more info. For GSD you are right - must prepare by yourselves. In google you can find only begining of this GSD file. And advise to use GSDEdit.exe and Gsdcheck.exe . If I was in your place, I'll use this:

Im184 is tools for developer, based on chip LSPM2. Im-184 configured by jumper.I(Im184 can 4x8DI, 4x8DO, 1x8DI,3x8DO...). Destimation jumpers wrote in manual on LSPM2. Gsd-file defined from setting this jumpers.
