For test purpose i have CPU 315-2DP, CP5512, Simatic NET and Visual basic 2008 express. I made some Step7 project that has DB1 and 4 words in it. Then i made an OPC server and with OPC scout i can monitor and write those DB1.DBW0, DB1.DBW2, DB1.DBW4 AND DB1.DBW6. then i started visual basic project and here i stopped.I know that easiest way to monitor those values in vb form is to using components:Siemens S7Number control and SIMATIC NET OPC Data, but i would like to do it on visual basic TextBox. Please somebody help me with that. Regards Arturas

Here the link to the manual. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/24843817 Here a link to some other samples (that can be adapted) http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/7888239 Another possibility would be to use WinCC Flexible (PC runtime). WinCC Flexible can act as OPC Clinet.
