Suryc Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	In case you are going to use DP-DP coupler to connect TWO NON-Siemens pieces of hardware, be aware of a BUG in the LATEST versions of relating GSD file. In the event of the two pieces not communicating with each other, then try an ancient GSD file (but the same version) on both sides ! May be it helps. It did for me when I had to get to get to communicate Honeywell and Mitsubishi brands.

I'm testing a S7 Master to a 3rd party product also as Master, and DPDPcoupler in the middle. In S7 side everything works, but on the other side I just receive informations from S7, I cannot send anything. Mike J

I also checked the Diagnostic bytes in DPDP Coupler using Simatic and everything is ok. I've just make a simple test: I substituted the 3rd. party system for a WinCC with Profibus DP connection and it worked fine. So the problem is in this 3rd. system. Also tested with 2 versions of GSD file, but same result. Thanks Mike J
