How can I use recipe data records without recipe view?

Steve QM Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hello I am working on a project in whichI have chosen to use recipes to allow our customer to edit and add settings for their different products. I am happy for their administrator to use a recipe view for editing, but when the operator chooses a product, Ijust want himto see a selection of buttons with the record names on them. GetDataRecordName and SetDataRecordToPlc seem to be the functions I need, but these are not supported for theHMI I am using (KTP600 Basic Color PN). Is there a way around this, or am I stuck with the simple recipe view? If I am, is there at least a way to stop the data record details from openingwhen the userclicks on a selected record name?

But now I have a slightly different problem: Having accepted that the record details will be displayed when the user selects a record that already has the focus and then clicks RecipeSetRecordDataToPlc (or something like that), I've now discovered that the tags are ONLY updated if the record details are displayed. This means that, to select a record that does not already have the focus, the operator has to select it twice. Our client finds this unsatisfactory. Any solutions, anyone?
