dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 1/16/2026 Posts: 12481 Rating: (2722)	Hello Srinu; If you have already been through the process of setting up and programming the CP 341 as a Modbus master, then you have an understanding of the required basicsteps you have to go through to implement the Modbus protocol on the S7-300 platform. Now you are attempting the same, with a different slave, and you cannot exchange data; right? Do you have any exchange between master and slave? Any diagnostics on the CP 341? First, check the cabling; if the TX LED does not light up, the cable is electriclly wrong, all signal pins are not connected as the CP 341 expects them; if the TX LED flashes but not the RX, the problem is in the configuration or in the program. Youi have used Netpro to setup a PtP connection between the CP 341 and a slave with the address with the address of your Temperature scanner? You have used this connection ID number for the Modbus functions in your program? The parameters you have used in the CP 341 setup correspond to the ones used in the slave (baudrate, parity...)? The Modbus job ion the CP 341 is programmed so you request the correct data from the slave, based on the slave's Modbus mapping? The correct function has been selected, and you have requested the exact registers you need? Come back to us with more details on your setup, we may be able to help you out more. Wishme Posts: 80 Rating: (5)	I was facing similar problem with Masibus Temperature scanner, also. What I found is that the temperature scannercommunicateson modbus on Station address = any unique, Baud rate = 9.8 kbps/19.2 kbps, Stop bit = 1 andParity= none. So, you should have this settings in the parameter configuration of modbus master. The rest is the communication programming. For that you can use project library on modbus.
