jklm Posts: 1742 Rating: (309)	Hello, In the first picture you use a generic GSD. In the second picture you use a HSP whichsupports enhanced S7 features. With an S7 CPU as master, the second choice is correct.

Hulzhex Platinum Member Joined: 8/25/2005 Last visit: 1/14/2026 Posts: 1162 Rating: (111)	Hello epro, if you are using a CP342-5 as DP-Slave with a Master within the same project it is allways the best way to configure it using the list of configured stations. Doing this STEP7 will correct Busparameters for both Stations for example. Within the first configuration you have selected an older CP342-5 via his GSD file. This older modul supports only 86 byte i/o data. The new one allways supports 240 byte i/o. Connecting a CP342-5 via his GSD file make sence, when the Station with the CP is not within your actual project. As edr told: use the second configuration! Hope this helps Sabine

In DP_slave1 you use a 6GK7 342-5DA00-0XE0 In DP_slave2 you use a 6GK7 342-5DA02-0XE0 as you use different Hardware, you may have to expect also different functionality. Best regards J_Bell
