" Can anybody tell be brifely about this. B'coz i want to design the F-system using CPU 417-4FH. Waiting for ur reply. Regards, AMMU.

But from that it means that, a Profisafe is just a Layer above profibus/profinet and that layer can only be created in Software & Hardware using F-modules. There is no such cabel that support Profisafe or classifies as a profisafe like profibus/profinet. For Profisafe aslo a same profibus cabel is used? please reply me whether i'm right or else elobrate it more clearly. Thanks for ur previous reply and waiting for ur another reply. Regards, AMMU

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear AMMU, you are right,PROFISAFE is a profile on top of PROFIBUS or PROFINET. As it is based upon the standard PROFIBUS or PROFINET you may also use the same cable as PROFIBUS or PROFINET uses. So you do not have to change any cable if you want to run PROFISAFE on a usual PROFIBUS line. Best regards J_Bell
