Hi to all.
Now i am changing the timer value in PLC from HMI using Data Block.I change the value(DB5.DBW2) through HMI. In this method if i set 1000 in HMI means plc take 1 sec. i want to set time value directly in seconds. could anyone send me the details.

Helo sundar,

I’m not sure weather you are using WinnCC flex! If you areusing WinCC flex thenyou can change the linear scaling of the tag value.

Go to tags and select the timing tag and go to properties and to linear scaling. Then enable leaner scaling and do it for your requirement.

I did my progrm same like u. I need 2 sec means now i should set 2000 in hmi. the hmi take only milli second . i want to set seconds through hmi. what value i should set in hmi linear scaling.

Dear sundar,

Yes same way as I said earlier in that project I need to input 60000 for 1minitue so I use linear scaling.

If I enter 1 it will multiply to 60000 so it means 1 min.

Same as that you can use 1 to 1000.

Dear adelabdo,
The initial values shown in the picture of my previous post is not essential. you can put the suitable values for you and you can leave it zeros and you can program them in OB100. Many possibilities you have.
The issue in your problem is to make a variable in a DB with format S5T. and to make it too in WinCC flex with the same format as a tag and to make scalling for it as you want. and then it will work.
