connecting again with RCS802 with new PC is not possible!

justbabak Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Hi everyone, some days ago my PC hard drive burnt out and i replaced it with a new pc. and i tried to connect it to my sinumerik 802d-sl (Peer-to-peer Ethernet as before). i did the same job like when i had connected my old pc to my sinumerik 802d-sl (value), but this time, i am not able to do it. when i try to connect via RCS802 tool, it tells me "username or password is invalid _ The access to sinumerik 802d is not allowed". i checked everything about security settings on my PC including turning off all firewalls. i checked the ethernet connection, it is ok. i checked the license with "automation license manager", as i understand it tells that something is wrong with my license (license key missing for RCS802)(though i am not expert in using this softwares, i am not sure about it), but there is a license there! i attached shots of screen about these errors. any help is greatly appreciated, Attachment errors copy.jpg (346 Downloads)

RAM81 Silver Member Joined: 3/3/2008 Last visit: 4/9/2025 Posts: 333 Rating: (52)	hi can you try to re install the RCS software once and give a try, also try to disable the antivirus and firewall. if its a PRO system create a new user and password and try yo login with that. if you had a RCS liscence and if it is not showing in the automation liscence mananger, then its better to contact siemens with the a copy of the front cover of the license floppy.they will be able to help you in getting a new one. regards ram

I doubt if i have a license for RCS, because there was no floppy, only 3 cd's, including RCS and STARTER software with the machine. but as i see in AUTOMATION MANAGER, there is a license installed but with "!" marked beside it telling missing license for software. regards, babak

In that case you must follow the steps from the attached procedure. I hope theis will help you.
