Bemused Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi Set-Team, this is my first post here, I hope you can help with what I thought was a simple architecture as follows. 3 x Dual channel emergency stop pushbuttons. 1 x 3TK2823 30 x Dol starter circuits comprising 3RV1011 and 3RT1015. I intended to series wire the 3RT n/c auxillaries to a 3RH coil and use a n/o from the 3RH in the 3TK reset loop Y33 / Y34 in order to over come auxillary voltdrop degredation. This exceeding catagory 2 but not quite meeting catagory 3. Say cat 2.5, perhaps a little bizare but the client likes the additional redundancy of dual chanel inputs and I like to check for contactor weld in. Having modeled using SET at PLc the first time today I find six contactors to be the limit. Am I incorrectly modeling on SET ? In SET I have 3 x Pushbutton, Cat 2, DC 80%, one opperation per day. 1 x 3TK28, Cat 2 30 x 3RT, Cat 2, DC 90%, one opperation per day. Many thanks Tony Jukes

Bemused Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Switching from 13849 to 62061 I find that I can easly increase the number of contactors to thirty and the number of estops to ten and maintain a SIL2. I know ten estops is beyond the recomended 6/8. Tony Jukes

There was no problem in multiplying them. Attached, you can find the modified project. Please notice, that the PFH value of each actuator is added. That means, your over all PFH will decrease. Attached is my version of 62061 at Sil1, I believe Sil1 to be an equivelent of PLc The 62061 version complies. Is this expected behavour of the two standards ?
