OP177b Losing the alarm buffer

Dalie Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hello, I am using 8 OP177b's on Wincc Flex 2008-SP1 on a project. With 3 of them I have a problem that the alarm buffer is automatically erased. The alarms are stored in the buffer but after some hours the buffer is empty. Normally the buffer of is capable to sore the last 256 messages, and than starts to erase them when it is full. But I have the problem that the buffer is erased with only 1 message inside. I have tryed to find the difference beteen the 5 good and the 3 "bad" screens but I can't find the problem. Dave

You can download hotfix 2 from this link: hotfix for WinCC flexible 2008 + Servicepack 1 Or try to perform an OS update with the option 'Reset to factory settings' Have a look at this link: how do you do an operating system update (OS update) on operator panels? Upgrading is offcourse allways the best, but if all screens has the same version of firmware and project was done with same version of Flexible then I think this is not a case. I would try to make simple project with some alarms configured and download to OP for check if it was caused by project itself. But first check all OP firmware versions. If they are different then upgrading will help as wizard suggested.
