Can´t get connection between OP73 V1.4 and WinCC FLex 2007

darkbits Posts: 31 Rating: (0)	Well, that is...can't communicate to the OP, WinCC throws an error saying that he can support only up to V1.3: "The connected device support version '14' for the selected transfer type. The PC software only supports devices up to version 13". I searched in the forum and found that it can be solved using hardware support packages, but can't find one for OP73 and WinCC Flex 2007..Please any help will be reaaaally appreciated. Thanks in advance. Regards.

Automation_Systems Posts: 58 Rating: (0)	Hi, thats what happens to a friend. He tells me that the only solution was get the WinccFlex. 2008. This version has the image for OP73 v1.4.´ He try to connected to an OP73micro, and the same error message appears, about the version of the panel. So i think the problem is that siemens launch at the same time a new software version and panels with new version too, and some of timeswe buy a panel at these daysand we receive a panel with a new version. And the old version is unable to program it. Maybe they are going to offer you a upgrade. Best Regards

Well, I guess there is nothing else to say...I thought that maybe, anywhere around, could be some hardware support package to solve this problem...guess I was wrong..Anyway, thanks for the help experts, I'll try to get Flex2008 or change my OP for one a little older. So, you have to make an OS-Update (in this case: "downgrade") for the panel to the version V1.3 with ProSave. And I have to correct you (darkbits), because you have communication with Panel. Because you get the information that the version is not correct. When you have no connection, you get message about cable etc. So I'm sure the OS update will solve your problem. Best regards, Wizard

darkbits Posts: 31 Rating: (0)	Mmmm , sorry, my mistake..... so if you both say that the downgrade should work, I really need to give it a try....sadly I couldn't try the downgrade today, and is (..finally..) friday , so I'll have to wait to do this on monday. I really hope this solve my problem, and also, really appreciate your help in this topic. Thank you guys, have a nice weekend.

darkbits Posts: 31 Rating: (0)	Ok we're back on the hard work...well I've a good new and a bad new...the good one is that finally I could stablish the link to the OP and so transfer the project into it ....the bad new is that I did it using WinCC Flex 2008 , I was able to get a copy of it so I preferred to use it rather than do the downgrade, so I can't tell you if the downgrade can solve the problem, sorry about that....Anyway now everything is working and that makes me feel goood .
