SIMATIC PC Adapter USB

tulinho Posts: 16 Rating: (1)	Hi everybody, its my first time here and I hope you can help me.I am trying to use a SIMATIC PC Adapter USB to comunicate a S7-300 with my PC. However my operational system is windows 7. I wanna know if there's an update that allows me to use it. If it's not possible i wanna know if I can use just a serial cable to comunicate the PLC with the PC. thanks

I think the current version of STEP7 ist V5.4 SP5.This supports the following windows operation systems: - Windows XP SP3 - Windows Server 2003 - Windows Vista 32 Bit Ultimate and Business(without and with SP1) Best Regards Little Holmes

So, for the moment I suggest you to use XP mode (Hope your hardware and version of Windows 7 support that). BTW I am using the same adapter in this way. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev
