Multiple S7-1200 to one WinCC flex RT

fbelic Posts: 327 Rating: (28)	Greetings all I've been reading /tf/WW/en/Posts/32460 and /tf/WW/en/Posts/32368 so I understand that you can connect S7-1200 with WinCC flex Runtime. What I would like to know, is it possible to connect more than one S7-1200 (3 in our case), each with its own Basic Panel, to one central PC with WinCC flex RT, that would be in charge of archiving etc.? Like, making three Ethernet connections in WinCC flex (slot 1, rack 0), but with different IP addresses of CPUs. Our next solution, if this is not possible, would be two S7-1200 and one S7-300 (or ET 200S) as central CPU for communication with WinCC flex RT... Best regards

If I understant correctly, S7-1200 is not officially supported from WinCC flex, but you can still connect it using this "trick" with (Slot1, Rack0). I would like to know can you connect three S7-1200 with one WinCC flex, in real life? Judging by this FAQ, I pressume that it is possible (I mean, why not?), but I would like to know if anyone already tried it... Bosses wouldn't be happy if we ordered three of those and then found out that we can't use them, even if they are cheap :-) Best regards

Then the FAQ is not relavant, you have to look how many connections flexible can support. Having a look to this FAQ: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/15363798 I think, 8 connections should be possible. But never tried it... regards
