Question about CP1613 and CP1613 A2

dzordzo Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello CP 1613 A2 - the module has been released for the SIMATIC NET CD V6.2 SP1 and higher. Windows applications that were used together with the CP 1613, can be used with the CP 1613 A2from this version onwards without any changes of the configuration or the user software. This also applies to Step 7 HW Configuration? Thanks dzordzo

So why should we add a new entry in the catalogue, just to get the user to wonder which version he has in his PC? I think the better solution is to keep the configuration as it is. As you see there is no additional logical functionality in the A2. Even the latest drivers work with the both CPs. Only the physical interface changed some... PCI V1 to PCI V2... but no functional change, so why is there a need for a different user interface? Best regards J_Bell
