Download Online Changes Problem

AEnes Posts: 76 Rating: (0)	Hello, I am getting the message I have attached when I try to perform an online download of my pcs7 project to the servers (two redundant servers). Does anybody know what is wrong? The message says that Master is not activated but when I try to download, both servers are running, and one of them is working as a Master. Fatso Posts: 168 Rating: (6)	Hi AEnes I am not sure whats wrong but one way to solve your problem is to do a full download,then changes only download will be availabel again.When you do a full download follow the sequence: Deactivate Runtime on server 1 Close WinccServer 1 Do a full download to Server 1 Restart the computer foe Server 1 Activate Runtime on server 1 Deactivate Runtime on server 2 Close WinccServer 2 Do a full download to Server 2 Restart the computer foe Server 2 Activate Runtime on server 2

AEnes Posts: 76 Rating: (0)	Hello, Cbo you are right. I have check the Simatic Shell in all Servers and clients and I have noticed something that it seems it is wrong. In this system the range of IP addresses 192.168.0.X is being used for the terminal bus and 10.10.0.X for the system bus. Both servers have separated network card for terminal ahd system buses however that´s not happening in the EWS, where there is only one network card for both adresses.Then the problem I am having is that despite the network card has both adresses (and the terminal bus one is on the top) when I check the simatic shell on my stations and I click on update, all the stations can see the EWS but witht the address 10.10.0.X. That´s why it is not working. If I remove that address from the network card, the delta download woks properly. It is possible to solve this without installing another network card on my EWS? Thanks

CBo Gold Member Joined: 4/5/2006 Last visit: 10/3/2025 Posts: 917 Rating: (63)	Hi AEnes, when you need to work on plc or need to download PC Station configuration from ES to OS you need SystemBus network when you need todownloadthe OS project you need TerminalBus in other hands: use SystemBus and TerminalBus network address in same family, or need to add 2nd card. 3rd solution is change manually address on the ES network card each time you have to move over the System/Terminal Bus regards P.S.: i supposed System Bus and Terminal Bus are connected/wired togheter

AEnes Posts: 76 Rating: (0)	One more thing, Removing the Plant Bus IP address from the network card and communicating with the PLC using the MAC address allows me to go online and download into the PLCs as well as perform online download to the servers.
