C script to work with ODBC

trini Posts: 19 Rating: (8)	Hi, I need to access some data in an external database from WinCC -WinCC V6 SP3 I have tried the VBScript example in the manual to access a database using ODBC and it works fine.Does anyoneknow if isthere a similar example for a c Global Script? I have c examples of using ODBC but they use headers files like sql.h that are not available in Global Script. Another question, could cause any problem coding some parts of the SCADA inC and another ones in VB? Thanks, Trini.

Salma Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	You can use the OLE Automation interface in C but be warned that this is not supported and may not be available in future versions - you are best sticking with VBS if possible. You can find examples at http://www.wincc.netfor both C and VBS. I often use both C and VBS scripts in projects and have never come across any problems.
