Limitation to different OS client for differnet application

Sam. Posts: 63 Rating: (0)	Dear All, I got one (critical) proj. task in server-client architecture. FYI - It consist of redundant OS(servers), 1 ES & 2 OS Clients (clients). My project consist of apps for 2 different processes, say process1 and process2. In normal case, all processes apps are accessible by both (all) clients. With user-rights we may authorize separate users for process1 and process2. - but doesn't address my concerns Method-(preferable approach) But I want to limit process1 operation to client1 only and process2 operation to client2 machine only. Method-2(alternative approach) - User is operating process1 in any client then other client shld nt be able to open process1 operation screen or to restrict process operation. how can I achieve this task (either method-1 or method-2) ? Is there any inbuilt feature available in siemens pcs7 ? Hope to receive positive reply from you all. please share your knowledge and experience. -------------------------- with best regards,

This transparentobjecthad a display attribute which depended on the name of thecomputer. With this everybody could see the process but only in one station was possible to operate.

This is a feature in OS Project Editor for Clients.Additional for Alarms separating are on client1 only user-right for OS Areas for process1 and client2 only user-right for OS Areas process2. I feel JOTST your reply address my concern, but still I need to study as I am new to this kinda requirement. I have defined 2 areas (process1 and process2), visible as configured in server OS project editor, are you asking me to change the OS project editor configuration for client project ? If possible add some snaps as I am l'l confused how can I configure OS areas for process1 on client1 and OS areas for process2 on client2.
