Problem in Scout installation

When I tried to open any project, Project Navigator option is disabled. If I install Scout in another PC using same disk, it runs fine. I have problem in perticular Laptop only. Same problem I faced in Past in other 2 PCs also. In those PCs, Project Navigator never enabled. I tried to Format the whole PC too. FYI, right now I am using SP3, and other 2 PCs were with SP2 Regards, Devesh Vithani
	I dont Like people driving Fast, thats the reason I overtake them ;)

Mehta Posts: 80 Rating: (7)	Does your laptop having enough RAM? Generally 2GB RAM prefered for proper functioning of SCOUT and Wincc flexi. HadSizer beeninstalled ? If yes than some time it create problem of proper functionning of scout. Uninstall unwanted software and try.

I will tell version tomorrow. But does it matters because I am using same setup for my other PC. And as far as my Laptop is concern, its having 2 GB RAM with 2.0 Dual Core Processor. This should be good enough And yes, I didnt installed sizer till now. Devesh

Try with How do you uninstall SP3 of Microsoft Windows XP? Perhaps could helps you. Return feedback to us after that. best regards, Hristo Mihalev

ChristophD Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 5/12/2006 Last visit: 1/16/2026 Posts: 22804 Rating: (3073)	Hello, you can test the following: Close the Scout and all SIEMENS Step7 Software got to the Scout installfolder (i.e C:\Program Files\Siemens\Step7\u7umc\data\wrkbnch and delete the file UESPersi.dat. Start Scout and test if the error is solved. Have you installed Google Desktop? Regards Christoph
