Problem creating a faceplate

kaspergl Posts: 39 Rating: (1)	Info: Im using Wincc Flexible 2007 standard. When i want to create a faceplate, and have placed some "simple objects" in a screen (ex. Text Field) and the "tools"-windows is open, the "Faceplates -> Create Faceplate" menu isn't active! (I have marked the objects I want to use in my faceplate) How can that be? I have observed that I'm able to "activate" the function, if the "Tags"-tab is open... ?!?! I don't see the point! Any tips? Thanks!

I have followed (tryed!!!) the example in the HELP... My task is to convert one number into another... Ex. an input field -> "live conversion (no "Convert" button) " -> and the result in an output field!

kaspergl Posts: 39 Rating: (1)	It doesn't necessary have to be scripting... Mayby there is other ways to solve this small task to convert one input value to another and then display it?? The mening is ofcourse that the input value in the end of the project, will come from an AD input, on a CPU313c (S7-300) at then show a temperatur.... Input: 4-20mA Displayed output: ex. 0-100 degrees celcius

Perhaps you can use linear scaling: go to WinCC flexible tag -> properties -> Linear Scaling. Best regards, Wizard

kaspergl Posts: 39 Rating: (1)	That will also make the most sense that the 313 would take care of all the math and regulation, and the display only was visualization of values and controlling the setpoints... ofcourse communicating setpoints back to the PLC controller when changed, so that it in theory could run "stand-alone" without the display panel connected.. I suppose that what will be possible.... Thanks you all for the great help!!! Wizard: I will try that, when I receive my S7-300 313CPU Starterkit tomorrow.. (and the TP177B starterkit July 30th)!! I'm only sitting with a Wincc Flexible 2007 and trying making screens..
