Problem in transferring project to TP177A

khan, hamza Posts: 10 Rating: (1)	Hi! I have TP177A with the order number (6AV6642-0AA11-0AX1). When I try to transfer the project from WinCC flexible 2005 advanced, it shows me the error "The connected devive supports version 14 for the selected transfer type. The PC software only supports devices upto version 1". What does this message means? Where is the problem? I have tried both MPI and RS485 to RS232.

Look at How do you do an operating system update (OS update) on operator panels? Either to update your version of WinCC Flex to 2008... Just version of WinCC Flex 2005 supports image version 1.0. In general tab, select the TP170A, and select the connection method as well. Then go to OS update tab and update the OS. Check also this link: What transfer options are available in the various operator panels? Hope this helps.

khan, hamza Posts: 10 Rating: (1)	I tried the OS update from WinCC flexible, but it got disconnected automatically in the third step of file downlaoding and now the touch panel is restarting again and again and showing "no file" in the bootloader screen. now i cant even transfer the OS files again. What can I do now?

This procedure is also explained in the faq for the OS-update in one of the last posts. Wich cable do you use exaclty and do you use a dektop pc or a laptop? best regards.
