Problem with parameter downloading

Pandiani Silver Member Joined: 10/31/2005 Last visit: 4/22/2025 Posts: 366 Rating: (31)	Hello, I'm able to successfully upload paramtere using Drive Monitor software, then I change a couple of parameters and try to download to Simovert drive. Unfortunately, I'm receivig error messages that parameters are rejected, although download procedure starts and last for a while. Error message is that from 875 parameters, 874 are rejected. I'm downloading by clicking on "Download parameter file to drive" Maybe I'm doing something wrong, maybe there are some kind of "enable download" option or something. Maybe I need to enter P060 parameter to value 6 (Download) first manually on the plate of the drive, and then I'll be able to change parameters by download, but not sure.... Thanks in advance

GJohn Posts: 112 Rating: (10)	Set P060 to 6, download, then set P060 to 7. An easier way may be to do the changes online with the drive and then upload a backup once all your changes are tested and complete.

P060 is left to 7 (Up/F...) whenI try to download a complete list of parameters from file, I get messeage for example 800 downloaded successfully, 75 rejected. When I look at list, problem is ValueFailure or something like that. What could that be? Maybe there are other parameters that needs to be change prior complete download?

GJohn Posts: 112 Rating: (10)	In DriveMonitor, from the Menu select 'Help', then 'Help Topics'. In the 'Find' tab type in 'download' and then select the topic 'Download (writing a parameter set). This seems to cover what you are trying to do. What operating mode is the drive in when you are downloading, is it disabled?

GJohn Posts: 112 Rating: (10)	The drive should be in a mains powered down status if you are downloading thefull parameter set, 008?. Once you have downloaded a full parameter set you should disconnect the 24V from the drive so the drive is totally powered down. This way the drive will initialize with the new parameters when it powers up. If you are only changing a few minor paramters it is easier to do changes online then upload a backupinstead ofdoing changes offline and then downloading the full parameter set.

This I have attached. It is a combination cable, which can be used also for firmware downloads, if the switch is closed when powering 24V supply. It can be used for Vector and Motion control units.
