Neira Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello I have some problems to communicate the Vision builder AI to PLC s7-300, I use the PCMCIA CP 5512 to connect the PLC in this step I do not have problems, because I can do online program and test the connection with the software included in the PLC (Systematic Step7 v5.2) but the problem it is how make a port COM with CP 5512 (because I need send I/O by other program or Hyperterminal ) or it is posible extract the driver?. Regards Oscar Splitted from Driver for Cp5512.

The issue is if you want to enter IO Data over the CP 5512 you need either a driver for S7-Communication or for the DP Protocol. Both protocols are far to complex to be handled over a HyperTerminal emulation. There you either need a program based on C or C++or a newer programming interface... or you use an OPC Server or better an Application used as OPC Client using the OPC Server. The HyperTerminal is definitely not useable in this case. Do you already have a SIMATIC NET SOFTWARE? You will either have to use SOFTNET S7 for PROFIBUS or SOFTNET DP Master (at least I guess this is what you need) Best regards J_Bell
