I want to filter the alarm view based on the selected alarm. The user shall be able to select an alarm in the alarm view, press a filter button which will set the filter property of the alarm view to the text of the selected alarm. To achieve this I must get the selected alarm text from the alarm view in a vb script. Can anyone help me with this? /Mikael

skimmer Posts: 317 Rating: (18)	Hi, I don't think it's possible to get the text from within the alarm view. Filtering the alarms that are displayed in the alarm view is certainly possible but only using an internal tag or a string tag defined in the plc as far as I have done in the past. Maybe someone who knows more about scripting has done something similar. You can save the alarm log as a csv file and then use a script to get the message text but this is not a sensible real time application I think.
