840C allarm

Pee Ell Sea Posts: 672 Rating: (57)	Hi, Looks like you got a problem Hope you have got back ups of the data 11 Undervoltage on secondary side Cancel POWER ON Cyclic Short circuit on secondary side or overloading of 5V voltage Caution: The error may have been signalled during initial start-up without the error being present (hardware wiring). When the error occurs the shutdown routine is activated to achieve a safe state. Restart: Data loss has occurred, obligatory re-installation is activated Eliminate the hardware error Re-install

Pee Ell Sea Posts: 672 Rating: (57)	Hi, LED H1 on the Central Services Board goes green when the 5 and 15 volt supplied are OK. Unless somebody can suggest something better you probably need to start pulling boards to try and get the LED green. The data has to be reloaded in any case so you haven't got a lot to lose. Don't read too much into the alarm description. Your power supply has a problem and you need to try and find out if something is pulling it down or the PSU is no good.

OvidiuNastac Posts: 419 Rating: (19)	Hi The LED's from CSBis lighting (both green and red). Also the green and red LED's from NC-CPU lightening (the top one). I tried to pull out the boards but I don't got any clue. Also I had changed the power supply. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks Nit

rcua Posts: 35 Rating: (1)	Hi Nit: Your is thread is nearly 2 years old so I guess you should have resolved the problem regarding the "Undervoltage on secondary Side" problem. My machine likewise encountered the same problem. I have tried swapping the (1) Power supply, (2) CSB Board, (3) Analog Driver Board, (4) MMC CPU Board, (5) CPU Interface Card (plc card), The only card left that I have not tried is the NC CPU Board (6FC5110-0BA01-1AA0). The Alarm Message "Undervoltage on Secondary Side" comes out on every start-up and can only be cancelled when PLC General Reset/ End General Reset is pressed. Hope you can share and help me from your experience. Thanks Robert
