25030 Axis Z1 Actual Velocity Alarm Limit

chall2010 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Sinumerik 840D control, Getting a Z1 axis velocity alarm while machine is in cycle, we keep the feedrate down at 80% and machine runs fine with no issues. Put feedrate back to 100% and we get the alarm on up movement. Any help would be appreciated.

chall2010 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Nit Machine is 5 years old, machine performs only one operation (cut splines in a gear shaft) The effected axis is for a turretwhich isused for loading and unloading of the workpiece. No other issues with this machine other than the replacement of the X1 axis motor about 3 years ago. chall2010

OvidiuNastac Posts: 419 Rating: (19)	Hi If the machine was working fine till now, I think that you have a mechanical issue (i.e. the axis is moving hard) and the driver try to compensate this trough a velocity increase (torque set-point) over the value set in MD 1401 and it is limited at the value set in the MD1405 for a greater time that is set in MD1605 or the axis is hold in place and then "escape" and the maximum speed for the motor is over-driven. In any case you must check the mechanics. You can try (only for a test to confirm) to increase MD1605. Good luck Nit
