panthripu Posts: 32 Rating: (0)	Hi friends We have some simovert drives and micro master in our plant.All are in network connected through profibus to our simens s7 plc.I use drive monitor to change parameter of any drive when required and for that i connect my laptop to individual drive so i have to go to each location. I just want to knowif i can access the drive parameter through network and access each drive from one location by connecting one computer to the network having drive monitor. Thanks

On STEP 7 project you can see all drivesconfigured on profibus network, then you can select it and open the parameter list.(drivemonitor parameterlist)

panthripu Posts: 32 Rating: (0)	Thanks Yes , you are right. The drives have been configured in Step 7 in our ES.When i try to open it, the drive monitor opens but when i try to go online , it says no connections.( which i believe is communication problem)

thijsee Posts: 35 Rating: (1)	Please check: - you are on the Profibus network and able to 'see' the Profibus devices (with Accessible nodes): no routing necessary - else: routing is enabled in the PLC-CPU - you configured the right Masterdrive control unit (CU..) in Step7 Hardware configuration via (e.g.): Profibus DP > Simovert > Masterdrive CBP2 > Vector Control CUVC This should provide a functioning connection from Step7 directly in DriveMonitor to the concerning drive - the Masterdrive control unit (CU..) version is known in DriveMonitor (I think so, you are able to connect via a point to point (RS232) connection)
