Using a variable (included in a structure) outside faceplates

The point is thatI use structures with faceplates. for example a PID faceplate will have a PID_STRUCT containing many variables. among these variables, there's a process variable thatI need to show inside and outside the faceplate. Is there's a way of doing so instead of doubling the power tag?

In the faceplate i'll add one more property (outside structure) for the tag i wish to get out of structure. Then by a VB script, i'll copy or move the property included in the structure to the property outside the strycture. Then, when using the faceplate, i will create an internal tag for interfacing with that new property of the faceplate. What do you think about this?

I know this is not a correct soultion, but you can use structured tags... whitout duplicated tags. So you can choose - duplicated faceplates - duplicated tags :-( Regards Zenta
