Hello experts,

In our project there are two "third parties" to be communcated with. We are using one CPU314 and two CP342-5 respectively connected with a DP/DP coupler. Each CP342-5 and DP/DP coupler belong to different Profibus DP master system. Attached is the HW config and FC1 screenshot.

I observed both DP/DP coupler have the same DP ID and there is no way to change it.

My question:

1. It this configuration correct?
2. How to address CPLADDER is such case?

You specify the module start address of the communication processor for the parameter "CPLADDR". You get this 16-byte address from the HW Config.

The length of this address (16 bytes) has no influence on the number of slaves you intend to run on this master system, on the size of the I/O area to be addressed or at which point the I/O data area is to begin. This value is used by the CPU to address the module (here the CP342-5) and has nothing to do with the I/O addresses of the DP slaves connected.

This address must be specified in the functions "DP_SEND" and "DP_RECV", because you can also run multiple CPs on one CPU and the parameters indicate to the block the CP or DP master system with which it is to exchange data.

With this parameter you must make sure that you specify the decimal value from the HW Config (only the Start address of the address area specified is relevant) in hexadecimal format for the "CPLADDR".
