It is possible to read and write the wear offset value via program by using system variables? this is my proble . we retrofitted our cylindrical grinding machine with sinumerik 802D SL. we are using only plunge cutting and the dresser is fixed dresser.

so i am trying to write a Macro for cutting and Dressing. dressing has some contour. so after dressing i have to add the dressed amount of the grinding wheel to the wear offset of the component. i dont know how to update the wear offset of both Dresser and grinding wheel.


if it is possible to use WHEN 0R WHENEVER to do the Delet distance to go in x-axis after the MARPOSS signal is true? which system variable is used to interface the plc inputs or high speed inputs to the part program?
