So far, I have got the Apdiag to work, and I got the screen name in my SSM manager at my client, so now I got an error when I trying to activate / deactivate the layers. Does this log give you an idea what wrong.

I have attach the script line 36 contains

HMIRuntime.Screens(szVal).Layers(5).Visible = False

Line 36 is where I try to disable my layer active screen, can you figure out why I got an error in this line. I know the line only can hide the layer.

Hi

I found a solution on my problem how to switch layer on/off in PCS7 system with client/server setup. I have out figure it out by myself. I got some help from a friend from another company.

But it is working and since I have stated this tread, I also should end with the solution.

Dim accessPath ' Access path of the main picture.
Dim scr ' Acess path of the picture for the local computer
Dim layer ' store the layer that has to be togglet

accessPath = "@screen.@win12:@1001.@desk" ' read the the picture patch
Set scr = HMIRuntime.Screens(accessPath) ' store the location in the "scr" variable

Set layer = scr.Layers(5) ' Layer 5 contain all non animate symbols
layer.Visible = Not layer.Visible ' toggle the layre

MsgBox err.description ' If any error display in meassge box
End If
