ET200S CPU and encoder

PSantiago Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi, I want to upgrade the actual machine PLC, S7-200, to an IM151-8 PN/DP CPU. I'm using the IM CPU for space reasons. I've 2 encoders (2 channel each). In the S7-200 it was very easy to use the integrated encoder function. With the new IM CPU I'm thinking on using a 2DI HF. The channel A will be used to trigger a hardware interrupt (OB40). In the OB40 I test the value of the channel B, and this way "simulate" an encoder. Will this configuration work? Best Regards Pedro Santiago
