Block Interface Change

Tuff Gong Posts: 41 Rating: (1)	Hi, With previous versions of PCS 7/ CFCs, when you changed the interface of a block and updated it, all the instance DBs for that block changed. Is this still the case for CFC V7.0. I have a client that wants Step 7 Professional, CFCs and InTouch as the SCADA. This will be a problem if the instance DB changes as I'll have to change Addresses on the InTouch as well.

Thinking in PCS7 and using CFC, you should program in a way you do not need to follow the addresses of the instance DBs. Instead of that, try to use a shared DB specific for Intouch communication. For example: define a specific chart for communication and create the icons you need in that place. Good luck!
