Dear, first of all thank you for your answer it help me a lot. But now I have dilemma what to do, because the text that folow: '' We are trying to use an MM440 6SE 6440-2AD37-5FA1: to run a Slag car with two motors withbrakes. The rough scheme is attached. The drive will not be conected to any PLC Only MCC will be used The motors will drive atthree speeds The motors will have option to work individually if one of the motor fails for emergency operation The selection will be done using the digital inputs, no analog inputs will be used. The nromal parameters will be set for the total motor ratings of two motors. when one motor is only used,Is it possibel to swap to another set of parameters to suit usingdigital input ? But steel I have dilemma, because you told me I need encoder for apeed regulation application. May be I've made mistake I did not explain I want to use MM440 for speed regulation of slag car motors (by the way I work in Steel Plant, ArcelorMittal) and it is not possible to install encoder on it. I would appreciate as I really do it, if I may ask you to explaine more or if may ask your answer do I realy need encoder or not for this kind of application. Thank you and best regards. |
