ŠΜS Gold Member Joined: 6/7/2010 Last visit: 7/9/2024 Posts: 571 Rating: (37)	Hello, In 840D, For Machine interlock I am using DB31.DBX60.4 & DB31.DBX60.5 (NCK to PLC) signal. My axis having Linear scale, When I reference the Axis with 2^nd encoder feed back I am getting an feed back. When I disable the 2^nd encoder and I want to Reference the axis with motor encoder ( Incremental encoder) by changing the Reference state parameter by putting 2 value in it. and in reference mode pressing Axis plus or minus SK, my axis is not referenced. Why?

Does your Linear scale is absolute/incermental? how are you referncing the axis ? 30240[0]=1means =>incremental==> in your what you have mentioned?( motor / scale) 30240[1]=4 meand=>absolute==>in your what you have mentioned?(motor / scale) On incremental encoder referencing 34210 Enc_ref_State=2 will not work.... this parameter required for Absolute Encoderonly...... On Inceremental Encoder referencing you need the Ref Cam and the Limit switch for referencing..... Check what exactly are you using.... Regards, Ekalavya

In my machine If the axis is referenced then only the axis will be declamped. So for that i am using DB....DBX60.5 signal for feed back.Incase i have to run the axis in motor encoder means,that time I need to get DB....DBX60.4 to be high. Is it possible to DO referencing at any position by changing any parameter?

If i need to run the axis in motor encoder ( Disable the scale for any checking purpose), for that i need to do reference.But i dont have any cam. Is it possible to do reference by changing the Parameters?

Could you try usingby buffering the actual value, "automatic referencing" is enabled, which does not require machine axes with incremental measuring systems, after situations in which they are in the "Not referenced" condition, to traverse back to the reference point for referencing of the measuring system. For example, this is the case after: • POWER OFF/ON • "Parking" selected: DB31, ... DBX1.5 / 1.6 (Position measuring system 1/2) = 0 DB31, ... DBX2.1 (servo enable) = 0 If the function is active, referencing is performed without axis motion by synchronizing the actual value system of the machine axis to the last valid actual value. The actual value is buffered in a retentive memory area of the control even after POWER OFF. For futher information could you check 840D Manufacturer /Service> Functional Manual-Basic Functions> Reference point apporach > page no 1570. Regards, Ekalavya
