AmirAlwaled Posts: 148 Rating: (14)	the PLC is small computer machine so you will hear familiar words " CPU ,RAM, ACCUmulator, cycle time , ......" STL in PLC == assembly in 8086. SCL in PLC == PASCAL or any other structure programming language. GRAPH in PLC == visual basic or any VISUAL language. the network concepts are the same in PLC network and PC network put PLC use PROFIBUS it is the same as SERIAL RS232 in PCs. the PLC and HMI working with MICROSOFT EMBEDDED OSit is the same concept of PC OS instead of calling API windows you will call SFC and SFB. it is the same worled the same concepts ^_^ learn STL then SCL to see the power of programming . You will need to learn DRIVE Concepts and that the hardest thing you will face. if you need anything I'm with you " COMPUTER & CONTROL ENGINEER"

To grow in autoimation what i have to do ? Hey Since you are from Computer Background, you can go for Level-2 Automation( Querrying the Databases) or higher. Also you can have SAP. The above said were from your field, but if you want to develop yourself in PLC Automation then you can start with the earlier posts. It will take some time to find a new path.
