Hot Swapable IOs on S7300 Local Rack

This is perfectly ok. Can we have Hot Swapable IOs on S7300 Local IO Rack?? Say for ex: CPU314C-2PN/DP and ET200M IOs on local rack (830mm normal rail ). If this is possible without IM153, please do let us know the same.... Regards Chitturi

The reasons: 1- The U-Shape backplane connector will break the backplane bus when a module is taken out. 2- The S7-300 CPU enable hot swapping only with Profinet I/Os. ~~Check this~~ ~~thread~~. Because in the normal rack you have back plane connected, where if you remove module and the modules next to the module will not have conenction to the IM 153 ( ET 200M ), So to avoid that only the Active bus module was introduced. Whereas in S7 400 rack by default the hot swapping is enabled, because there as pre-assigned slots for the modules.
