updating TP170A

TomCl Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have a TP170A with loader V5.2.2.23. I want to program this device with WinCC flexible 2008 but this is impossible because the TP170a need to be updated. So I tried to update the OS with prosave 7.0.0.1. But prosave still says that this is impossible because the OS of the TP170a is not compatible with my prosave. Who can help me to solve this problem. I will be very happy if this problem is solved. regards, Tom

IBN-Service Posts: 8946 Rating: (1000)	Try to do the update with WinCCflex! It will ask you after failed transfer. Flex 2008:SP1 or SP2 ?

Mikesidir Posts: 18 Rating: (1)	Not being 100% sure but I think that after Flexx SP1 the OS update starts automatically when needed... This saves you from some mistakes you could have done with ProSave as in picking the wrong .img file for the update of the Device. So the first thing you have to do in my opinion is to install SP1 or later...

Use a Prosave software to "adjust" OS of the panel according to the WinCC Flex version (http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/21742389) How do you do an operating system update (OS update) on operator panels?
