Repair of master Drive VC

amit_bccl Regular Member Joined: 6/3/2008 Last visit: 8/12/2025 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Pl. suggest , I have repaired master Drive VC 315KW by replacing IGBT FZ1200R16KF4 , & Repaired IGD board , also checked with low voltage +24VDC with Simulation Mode found every thing was OK , got +18V rms value in all three phases in simulation mode , Means all IVI . IGD & IGBT was working OK. After this applied 440V ac 3 Phase Power ON & checked DC link Voltage found 570VDC normal OK.& checked all everything was OK , & conected 22HP Motor for testing purpose. But when i start the drive in Simulation mode with 570VDC Link got blast & all IGBT & resistace for Snubber Ckt. dammage, really i got confused because every thing was ok with Simulation mode but there is only a single mistake (A) Drive was on default parameter set (B) Started with Simulation mode along with 570VDC can its makes the drive dammage ?, I have never made any mistake during repairing job from my last 12 years experience this time i really confused because everything was OK & tested before power on with +24VDC low voltage testing. Pl. suggest , (A) can it is possible to start the Drive in Simulation mode with 570VDC link ?

You are running ur drive in simmulation mode it may create a problem..pls start a drive in normal mode...and do a moter identification...

diwa Silver Member Joined: 9/20/2006 Last visit: 8/1/2025 Posts: 307 Rating: (97)	was the motor connected? ideally simulation mode in only with small voltage. but will not cause any harm if the dc voltage is full provided no motor is connected. such blast may be because of some problem in the power section. which country r u from?
