Remote connectivity of 840D system using company server

COOLRAJ Posts: 28 Rating: (0)	We are trying to connect our 840D NCU 572.4 to our office server so that we can have remote access to the machine. When we connectthe ethernet cable the system starts assigning IP address but never succeeds. We tried to enter static IP that also did'nt work. We tried to connect through normal tata photon + data card and we succeeded in this but obviously the speed was a issue. Can someone help me get this connected to our company server. Why does it not assign the IP automatically like anyother PC. We tested the network using another laptop and it gets connected. So the network seems to be OKAY. Are ther any special settings required to be done. Need your guidance.

Hope is this with pcu50 NT/xp flat form?...if it is what type of pcu50...does it have two ports / one ports....on your office server what is the remote access software used third party make / siemens software... if you have connected to the port 2 the default IP address is 192.168.214.241 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 Check it out.... The PCU details are SINUMERIK PCU 50 1.2 GHZ, 256 MB RAM; 24 V DC; WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL FOR EMBEDDED SYSTEMS (WINXP PRO EMBSYS) Our office server has a third party software (Non Siemens software) and it's a regular office server where our Lotus Notes, other database are stored.

Fine you want share the your partprogram. > Share a folder on your PC with proper admin rights and access rights. > Now on the control side i.e on the CNC side you need to boot it in windows mode... while booting you will find sinumerik in dos screen immedaitely you need to press down arrow key on your keypad. > You will find Service menu in this you need to select option 4 i.e normal windows w/o any HMI enviorment.... >SINUMERIK Desktop screen will appear in this User name : auduser and password is:SUNRISE > Windows screen will come know....goto F drive ...in the Select dh directory you will find mpf.dir share this directory. > Now from your PC you can view what program is there in control can be seen in your PC.... > Rest other things what all the you want to do you can program can be viewed and modifed from your PC. I understand the concept of sharing the PC but I would like to access the part programs through internet may be using our company server OR something like FRITZ card etc. The system PC is unable to assign IP when I connect it to my office server. My problem is to get the system PC hooked up to internet
