MovingCargo Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have strange problem with Sinamics S120 - profinet communication. Normally we use Profibus - communication with plc and have been done more than one hundred solution with that technology. Now I am testing solution with Profinet. S120 system consist one Infeed (ALM) and 4 axis (3 blocksize and 1 chassis) on closed loop vector control with squirrel gage motors. I am using Safety integrated- function STO/SS1 - via terminals. used CU is 320, with FW 2.6.2.9. Profinet is used with CBE20- option card. I select Profinet to use with parameter p8839[0] = 2 (Option module) for IF 1 and disable IF2 with parameter p8839[1] = 0 Inactive. Interface with old profibus communication is without any changes. OK, communication works with PLC, Online connection with starter OK.... Looks fine. When I run 1 axis everything goes smoothly as with Profibus. I test all 4 axis individually and they are working fine. Problem: When i enable two axis at same time I get immediatly following faults: F300625[1] and F1600[0] from motor modules. I try to deactivated- activated safety setttings, but problems stay same. CU load in CU320 goes r9976[0] = 80%, r9976[2] = 94% when fault occurs. I try to deactivated 2 of axis and get lower level of CU load to level ~60%. Same faulthappens again... Does anyone have experience about that problem. When i change communication back to Profibus, everything work fine and I can run with all 4 axis on same time.

DenisMor Posts: 344 Rating: (50)	Profinet CBE20 card adds additional processing load on the controller. In older CU320 controls units, it is not possible to do 4 vector axes AND ALM AND Profinet AND Safety_Integrated. So options are: Switch to a CU320-2 control unit. There is a PROFINET (CU320-2PN) or PROFIBUS (CU320-2DP + CBE20) version of that CU available. Switch the control method to SERVO instead of VECTOR if the application allows.
