Datalogging advanced instructions

srbenergy Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi there. We are trying to get data from an 1200 CPU. The problem is that when we create an OB and we try to use the datalogging instructions they seem to be deactivated so we can not introduced them into the OB. Do we have to be online with the CPU? Do we need to have the memory card initialized and connected to the PC programmer? We still do not have the card initialized and we are not connected to the CPU either (offline programming) and we think that this is the reason behind the problem. Could you please confirm us whether we are right or wrong? Many thanks. Best regards.

Witch instruction you would like to drag & drop? To program the PLC you don't need (e.g.) SD or go online. Do you have alread take a look at the TIP: Sample program: S7-1200 and DATA LOG https://www.automation.siemens.com/BR/tf/WW/en/Posts/57715#top ?

srbenergy Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi again!. when I say that we want to get data from the CPU I mean that we are running an application in a 1200 CPU, in this application we have some inputs to the CPU that are temperatures and we want to store them in an SD card. The OB that we create in our program has the same properties (Program Cycle Class) than the OB that we have dowloaded from the Siemens web page example. Nevertheless when we open the example all Datalogging instructions are activated (we can drag and drop) and with our program we can not do it that way. The program was originally created with a 10.5 version and afterwards, to add the data registration, we have open it with version 11 sp1 and try to add these new blocks. Could it be a problem of software version? Many thanks for your time. Regards.

If you can create a new project in V11 and follow the same steps without problem, maybe your original project (from 10.5 to 11) could be corrupt. In this case, I suggest you open a Support Request and send the project to be analysed and eventually corrected.
